Our
Mission
At Cocoa Dolce Artisan Chocolates, we believe in following
our own path. Leading, rather than following where others might go.
Innovating instead of replicating the successful formulas others might
embrace. Because we grow from the heartland, we set our own standards,
scouring the world for its finest ingredients, but adding to them an
independent spirit evident in every sensual, decadent chocolate experience
we create. Unconstrained from preconceptions or compromise, we are
free to celebrate the unique blend of creativity passion and playfulness
that
gives Cocoa
Dolce a flavor all its own.
About
Many people have dreams, but few ever realize them. Yet the story
of Cocoa Dolce Artisan Chocolates has its origins in the
dreams of its founder, Beth Tully, who defied convention,
overcame her fears and pursued her passion … with delicious
results.
Formally trained as a speech therapist, Beth worked in sales for
a Fortune 500 company for years before realizing that her heart
just wasn’t in it.
“
I couldn’t be dishonest with myself any more,” she
said. “When I turned 50, I had this epiphany that I really
needed to be doing something I felt passionate about. I realized
that I wasn’t living what I’d call an ‘honest’ life.
I was just punching the clock and moving through life instead of
really living it.”
After some soul-searching, she came to the conclusion that her
only source of true satisfaction came from her holiday tradition
of chocolate making, which began while in grad school. With considerable
persuasion from family and friends, she began to embrace her passion
researching the industry, and formulating her plans to take the
chocolate world by storm.
Investigating culinary training programs, Beth discovered Ecole
Chocolat’s Professional Chocolatier Program in Vancouver,
where she completed her Maitre Chocolatier (Master Chocolatier)
certification.
Now prepared, Beth left the corporate world and founded Cocoa Dolce
Artisan Chocolates in 2005. In pursuit of the ultimate chocolate
experience, she embraced her new calling with single-minded focus,
sparing no expense in her quest for the finest ingredients. Every
chocolate is made by hand without preservatives, and she constantly
researches and develops new flavor combinations that promise to
tantalize and engage even the most discerning palates. “We
use high quality imported Belgium chocolate,” she said. “Our
cream is fresh and heavy, and we use an extremely high butter fat
content butter that provides a more velvety texture. The sum of
all those parts creates something that’s really wonderful.”
Cocoa Dolce Artisan Chocolates continues to grow and evolve right
along with its owner. But the quality and uniqueness of the chocolates
she creates are timeless, the culmination of one woman’s
dream to bring unique flavor to her own life, and the lives of
everyone who loves the sensual taste, texture and experience that
is chocolate.
